We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our engineering team in Delhi. This is a full-time, on-site position focused on designing, building, and maintaining the server-side logic and databases that power our educational platforms. The ideal candidate will contribute to high-performance, scalable systems that support millions of users.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for educational applications.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and product teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Optimize application performance, ensuring high availability and low latency.
- Implement data storage solutions, including database design, query optimization, and data migration.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following industry best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting production issues.
- Monitor system health and implement security and data protection measures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
- Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Hands-on knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis, Memcached).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Prior experience in the education technology sector.
Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional experience in backend development.
- Proven track record of delivering production-grade software systems.
- Experience working in a team of 5+ engineers on a live product.
